Presentations & Training Days

Activate has taken its presentations which include ‘Evangelism in the Real world’, ‘Reaching our 21st century world’, and ‘Life in all its Fullness’ to Spring Harvest, Keswick, bible colleges, churches, conferences and special events around the country and without fail they have been exceptionally well received, as the comments below confirm.

If you’d like to consider the possibilities of a tailor made package for your group or church, then contact Ruth on 0114 254 0842 to discuss this further. Alternatively, fill in the form opposite with any questions or enquiries on setting up your own package.

Our day away was FAB - exactly what we needed - thanks for all the hard work involved! Jan is a natural communicator. In the innovative presentation 'What have you got in the house?' she gently & wittily led us through our various rooms and as each window was opened, she gave us permission to do evangelism the easy, natural way. Our women went away buzzing with enthusiasm, inspired by the possibilities they now see. Thank you Activate for what was a superbly delivered challenge to be salt and light. We now need to ensure we keep the momentum going but that's down to us!

In order to further their training and prepare them for ministry, Moorlands College exposes its students to a wide variety of Christian ministries involved in Evangelism and Mission, both in the UK and overseas. In one year students may be confronted with more different ministries than many Christians would encounter in a lifetime. These ministries vary widely, as do the styles and abilities of those that come to present them. But every now and again, a speaker comes like Ruth Adams, from Activate, whose vision and enthusiasm for a ministry is matched not only to a clear and vibrant presentation, but also to a practical, down to earth approach that makes the relevance of that ministry obvious and attractive to everyone. I recommend her to you also.

We so enjoyed having Ruth Adams from Activate to speak at Trinity College. The room was packed. She is a great communicator, up to date, well informed, creative and enthusiastic. She talked about evangelism in such an every day way. No guilt trips, no carping criticisms. It was a benediction.
Howard Peskett, Vice Principal, Trinity College, Bristol

Ruth Adams recently visited Trinity College to talk about evangelism. To be honest, theological students can get a bit jaded with an endless procession of organisations wanting to promote their services, but Ruth’s visit was far from that and proved to be one of the highlights of the term. Her passion for reaching women and practical, creative ideas were infectious and inspiring - and I’m a man! I will most definitely be contacting ACTIVATE when I’m in a parish and I’ve no doubt that there will be regular invitations for Ruth to visit Trinity in the future

Thanks again for your talk yesterday. It was absolutely terrific! I had loads and loads of very enthusiastic feedback. – Paul, Trinity College, Bristol

It was so good to meet you last Friday at the BRF Writer’s Day and hear your encouraging, challenging and inspiring talk. Hearing all you said was so timely for me and I am so glad that the Lord made it possible for you to be the keynote speaker at the day - Sandra

The BRF Writer’s Day was a good one and your contribution first class - thanks again for all you gave us – Jean

Activate’s presentations encourage practical steps in evangelism. They include a helpful and accessible look at what makes people tick today and how Christians can best make use of the gospel in ordinary life. The ideas offer a wide range of fun, do-able and interesting suggestions to help individuals, groups of Christians or a church, connect with their neighbours and friends and introduce the Good News. Above all, it’s encouraging, it doesn’t make evangelism complex or clever but helps us know it’s something we can do, and might even enjoy doing. Robert Freeman
