The National Team which heads up Activate, consists of eight women, covering a wide variety of backgrounds - a former west-end show girl, a full-time mum, a life coach, a hotel proprietor, a teacher, an international speaker and an ordained minister. We cover a wide age range and we are a diverse group, which reflect the different stages of the lives of women today.

Together we share the aim of helping every Christian in the UK fulfil their potential and see God use them to take his love into the community.

'I've been involved with Activate for over 25 years because I've always loved the aim of reaching women with the love of Christ. I'm determined to move with the times and reach people where they are in order to bring them to the place God wants them to be.'

'Life for women has changed dramatically in the last 15 years or so. Activate keeps abreast of these changes, and speaks into the needs and stresses of the mad balancing act which is life for most women today. Activate addresses the big Q's - Why am I here? What is the meaning of life? etc:- and offers practical Christian answers in a very informal way. I'm glad to be a part of all that!'

HAZEL GAYDON | TRUSTEE
'Professionally trained as a teacher, I now spend part of my time speaking,writing or leading groups in both Christian and secular contexts. A varied career has involved tourism consultancy, running a small business and lots of one-to-one work. I recognise the need for Christians to speak to the reality of people's lives by understanding both life and faith. Activate's real value is to help them do this so they can participate in God's strategy to reach others.'

A mum to three young children, Mandy enjoys juggling her time between primary teaching, helping run a toddler group and mentoring female college students. She loves being part of a vibrant local Activate group and being the 'little sister' to the other wise trustees on the national team.
